SpaceX has ambitious plans to colonize Mars and make humanity a multi-planetary species. The company's Mars mission is known as the "Mars Colonial Transporter" or "MCT," which has since been renamed as "Starship."
The Starship spacecraft is designed to carry up to 100 passengers and cargo to Mars and back. It is a fully reusable spacecraft that consists of two parts: the Super Heavy rocket booster and the Starship spacecraft. The Super Heavy is designed to launch the Starship into Earth's orbit, and then return to Earth for reuse.
